How to create a public event on Facebook on iPhone

As iPhone features differ from that of an Android phone, so will the features on Facebook for iPhone users differ from that of the Android users. So iPhone users/owners, this is for you!

How to create a public event on Facebook on iPhone

ON YOUR FACEBOOK APPLICATION:
  1. Tap on the menu button at the bottom right of your Facebook page
  2. Scroll down and tap on "Events"
  3. On the pop-up screen, tap on "Create" at the top of the Facebook page
  4. On the top of the page, tap on the drop-down button to choose between a "Private" or "Public" event (the default setting is "Private event" so tap on it and change it to "Public event")
  5. Fill in the Event title and tap on the photo icon by the right to add a photo for the event 
  6. If you are an admin in any page, you can allow the page to stay as the "Host", (the page will automatically appear as host), if you decide otherwise, just tap on "Host" to change it to your preference
  7. Add location
  8. Tap on Select Category to choose the category you want your event to fall under (Arts, Books, Comedy, Food, Games, etc)
  9. Tap on More info to give people more information about your event
  10. Tap on Ticket URL to direct people to the website where they can get the ticket for your event
  11. Tap on Co-hosts to add pages and/or friends to co-hosts the event
  12. Swipe left to ensure that posts made about the event must be approved by the admin
  13. When you are satisfied with what you have filled in, tap on "Create" at the top right hand of the screen

ON YOUR BROWSER
  1. Log in your Facebook profile
  2. Tap on the menu button at the top of the Facebook page
  3. Scroll down and tap on "Events"
  4. On the pop-up screen, tap on "Create Event" at the top of "Upcoming Events"
  5. First of all go straight to the bottom of the page and tap on "Privacy" to change it to "Public Event", then tap on "Done" at the top of the Facebook page
  6. After tapping on "Done", you will be taken back to the previous page to create your event, while you are there, tap on "Event title" to give a title to your event 
  7. Tap on "location" to give the location for the event  
  8. Tap on "Tell people more about the event to give more info about the event 
  9. Tap on "Co-hosts" to add friends and/or other pages to co-host the event
  10. Tap on "All posts must be approved by an admin" to make sure that any post made about the event is approved by an admin
  11. When you are satisfied, tap on "Create" at the top of the Facebook page to create your event.

How to create a private event on Facebook on iPhone

On Your Facebook Application:
  1. Tap on the menu button at the bottom of your Facebook page
  2. Scroll down and tap on "Events"
  3. On the top right-hand corner of the page, tap on "Create"
  4. Under "Create Event", you will see that its already set to "Private"
  5. Fill in the "Event title" and give your event a name
  6. Add "Location"
  7. Fill in the "More info" to give people more information about your event
  8. Swipe left or right to allow or disallow guests to invite friends
  9. Tap on "Co-hosts" to add friends as co-hosts to the event
  10. When you are done, tap on "Create" at the top right hand corner of the page.
On Your Browser:
  1. Tap on the menu button at the top right-hand of the Facebook page
  2. Tap on "Create Event" (on top of "Upcoming Events")
  3. Looking at the bottom of the pop-up screen, you will see that it is already set to "Private Event", so go ahead and tap on "Event title" to give your event a name
  4. Tap on the date and time displayed to select the beginning "Date and Time", and "End date and Time" then tap on "Done" at the top of the page to return to the previous page where you were creating your event
  5. Tap on "Location" to add the location of the event
  6. Tap on on "Tell people more about the event" to give more information about the event 
  7. Tick or untick "Guests can invite friends" to allow your invited guests to also invite their friends to the event
  8. Tap on "Create" at the top right hand corner of the page to create the event after you are done
