See how much it costs to Advertise on Facebook

Advertising on Facebook, Facebook     No comments

See how much it costs to Advertise on Facebook- You tell Facebook how much you want to spend on advertising. Then we'll try to get you as many results as possible for that amount. If you want to spend $5 a week, you can. If you want to spend $50,000 a week, you can do that too.
Note: Some types of advanced ads require a minimum amount of spend to work. You'll be notified of this while creating them.

WHEN SHOULD YOU START ADVERTISING ON FACEBOOK?

The basics of cost

There are two ways to define cost:
  • Overall amount spent
  • Cost of each result you get
You control your overall amount spent through your budget. You control your cost per result through your bid strategy. (If you're not sure what to bid, we can automatically bid for you with the intent of spending your budget evenly throughout your ad's run time.) In addition, we offer other ways to ensure you spend no more than you want to:
  • Campaign spending limit. Set a maximum amount you're willing to spend on a given advertising campaign.
  • Account spending limit. Set a maximum amount you're willing to spend across all the campaigns you're running.

What you get from Facebook ads

There are two primary things you get from a Facebook ad:
  • The ability to reach a certain number and type of people.
  • As many of the results you care about (as expressed by the type of boost/promotion you choose on your Page or the optimization event choice you make in ad set creation) as possible from those people.
Given the characteristics of your ad (including its budget, bid, and targeting), we estimate the number of people you can reach and results you can get before you actually order your ad. This can help you decide if you want to order the ad or not. Learn how to view your estimated results.
During and after your campaign, we'll send you notifications about the performance of your ad. You can also view your results on the Insights tab of your Page (if you create the ad from your Page), or in Ads Manager. We recommend viewing your results during and after your campaign. In addition to helping you understand what you got from your ad, it can also help you make adjustments to hit your performance goals.
If we're not able to get you the result you care about within the constraints of your budget, target and bid strategy, we'll stop delivering your ad. You won't get charged unless we're getting you results.

Where to buy Facebook ads

There are two interfaces for buying Facebook ads:
  • Your Page. This is the simplest way to buy ads, but lacks some customization options Ads Manager has. You can do it on a mobile device, a computer or the Pages Manager app.
  • Ads Manager. This interface guides you through the creation of a campaign. It's available on computers and as a mobile app.

Why you should advertise on Facebook

Advertising on Facebook, Facebook     No comments

Why you should advertise on Facebook- With 2 billion monthly active users on Facebook, you might wonder if Facebook advertising is the best course of action to help you grow your business. The following list outlines the many reasons why advertising on Facebook is a smart choice for businesses, whether you're a business that's just getting started on social media or a business that's looking for new ways to grow.

Simple set up

  • To get access to Facebook advertising, you need to either 1) create a new Facebook Page or 2) be given the role of Advertiser on an existing Facebook Page. Once you're working on a Page, you'll be able to start creating ads from the Page itself or through other Facebook tools like ad creation. If you don't have a business Page, don't worry. Creating a business Page is easy.
  • If you've created a profile, group or event for your business but not a business Page, that's okay too. It's not too late to transition to a business Page.

Your audience is on Facebook

As mentioned, there are 2 billion people active on Facebook each month. That means you have the opportunity to reach current customers, new customers and people interested in your business or organization.

Ads tailored to your specific goals

Facebook offers a range of advertising objectives, so you can choose the option or options that best suit your needs and your business goals. You should always select the advertising objectives that will help you reach your goals. Whether your goal is to drive engagement on a post, send people to your website or find new leads for your business, there's an advertising objective optimized to help you reach it. You'll always have the power to select from a range of objectives that help you meet your specific business needs.

Simple ad solutions

You can create ads quickly and easily directly from your Facebook Page. To create these types of ads, just look for the Promote button on your Page. Or, try boosting a post by clicking the blue Boost Post button at the bottom right of certain posts. Below are some of the ad solutions you'll find directly on your Facebook Page:
  • Boosted posts:Boosting a post may help you get more people to like, share and comment on the posts you create. Boosted posts are also a way to reach new people who are likely interested in your content but don't currently follow you on Facebook.
  • Page promotion: Promoting your Page may help you get more people to like and follow your Page.
  • Website promotion: Promoting your website may help you get more people to visit your website.
  • Promote call-to-action button: People can interact with your Business Page through your page's call-to-action button. It can be customized to promote your page objectives, such as allowing visitors to book appointments, make purchases or lead them to your website. Creating a call-to-action ad helps drive conversions that matter to your Business Page.
Keep in mind that you may see additional promotional options beyond what's listed above. Check out your Page's Promote button to see which options are available for you.

Advanced ad solutions

You can also use Ads Manager to create and manage ads on Facebook. To start creating ads, you'll just want to go to facebook.com/ads/create. With ad creation, you'll unlock access to more ad types than you can access from your Page. See below for a list of some of the ad objectives you'll find there.
  • Lead generation: Collect lead information from people interested in your business.
  • Conversions: Get people to take valuable actions on your website or app, such as adding payment info or making a purchase. Use the Facebook pixel or app events to track and measure conversions.
  • Brand awareness: Reach people more likely to pay attention to your ads and increase awareness for your brand.
Go to ad creation to see all of the available ad options you can choose from.

Organic reach has a limit

While creating, optimizing and posting regularly to your business Page is a good way to reach new people and your current customers, you may want to consider advertising to help you expand your reach and grow your online presence more quickly. Today, more and more content is being generated on Facebook, and that means it may be harder for you to get your content in front of the people you care about most. To keep your audience engaged, reach new people, and share your newest products or services, give Facebook ads a try.

Set reasonable budgets

You can choose advertising objectives that work within your budget and set a custom budget based on the needs of your business. For most ad types, the minimum budget you can spend per day ranges from $1 to $5. You can also adjust your budget, pause or stop ads as finances change for your business. For extra security, consider setting up an account spending limit. An account spending limit is an overall limit on the amount of money your ad account can spend across all ad campaigns (also called promotions). Setting an account spending limit can be a helpful way to control your costs and make sure you don't spend more on ads than you want to.

Ads are Scalable across social media

Facebook ads are integrated across social media platforms. When you advertise with Facebook, you may be able to show your ads in places beyond Facebook's newsfeed. Depending on where you create your ad and the type of ad you create, you can choose to place your ads in Instagram, Messenger and Audience Network. This means your ads may still reach people whether they're on Facebook or a different app/website entirely.

Targeting capabilities

Facebook ads can be targeted to people by location, age, gender, interests, demographics, behavior, and connections. You can also use more advanced targeting tools such as Lookalike Audiences that let you target people who are similar to the people who already engage with your business, or layer your targeting options to get more specific with your audience selection.

Choose from multiple ad creatives

When you advertise with Facebook, you'll have the option to run ads that include creative like videos, images, slideshows, carousels, collections or canvases. You can pick the creative that works best for your brand and your audience. Plus, you'll be able to use Facebook's measurement tools to learn how much people engage with your ads based on the creative you've used.

Measure your success

Each ad you create can be measured using insights, metrics and tools provided by Facebook. With Facebook's measurement tools, you can understand the effectiveness of your ads, the creative that drives the best results and get access to tools to help you find your audience and reach more of the people you care about.

Advert Preferences: What it means and how to adjust them

Advertising on Facebook, Facebook     No comments

Advert Preferences: What it means and how to adjust them- Your ad preferences are a way to learn why you’re seeing a particular ad, and control how we use information about you on and off Facebook to decide which ads to show you.

To view and adjust your ad preferences:
  1. Click the or near the top-right corner of any ad on Facebook.
  2. Select Why am I seeing this?.
You’ll see an explanation of why you’re seeing the ad, and you can add or remove yourself from audiences who are shown that ad. Click Manage your ad preferences to see more audiences you’re a part of that influence which ads you see on Facebook. You can also view and adjust your ad preferences here.
Changing your ad preferences influences which ads you see, but it won’t change the total number of ads you see. Keep in mind that advertisers sometimes ask Facebook to show similar ads to multiple audiences, or to wide audiences. For example, a company might want to reach people who like sports. If you remove yourself from the audience of people who like football, but not from the audience of people who like basketball, you could still see the company’s ad.
Note: Facebook always uses information about your age, gender, location and the devices you use to access Facebook when deciding which ads to show you.
